Pit Latrines

Due to the perennial rain and the type of soil, Pit latrines in the Kano area have been know to collapse. KEA deliberated and came up with a solution to construct two pit latrines at MIgingo Primary School. This school was one of the many that had their latrines collapsing during the long rain and floods that hit the Kano area in April, 2020.

To prevent future collapsing and sinking, Culverts were used in this project. Funds were approved and the project started later in the year. The delay was due to the ongoing pandemic, but the Latrines were finished, and the outcome speaks for itself.
